Vanuatu Citizenship by Investment
The Vanuatu Government under the Citizenship Act (CAP 112) Order №215 of 2016 established the Vanuatu Citizenship by Investment. The Prime Minister of Vanuatu in August of 2017 announced the reduction of the fees to be contributed to obtain Citizenship. Applicants granted Vanuatu citizenship can reside in Vanuatu at all times and citizenship is granted for life.
Applicants can obtain Vanuatu Citizenship by Investing US$160,000 (for a single applicant) into a local development fund or US$220,000 (for a family of four) plus fees. Payment can also be made in bitcoin to authorized agents prior to making the full payment of the funds to the government in USD. Vanuatu Citizenship can also be obtained by investing in real estate.
Citizens of all countries can apply for Vanuatu citizenship with the exception of citizens from Iran, Iraq, Syria, North Korea and Yemen. Applicants must have no criminal record.

Process:
1. Due Diligence
• Applicant must make a non-refundable payment of USD 6,500 for due diligence checks by the Vanuatu Government
• Once the applicant has cleared the due diligence background check they can submit the completed application for Citizenship
2. Investment Contribution
• The Applicant must make a non-refundable payment to the Vanuatu government as follows:
- USD 160,000 for a single applicant
- USD 185,000 for a married couple
- USD 220,000 for a family of 4
- USD 25,000 for each additional dependent.
3. Approval
Once the investment has been made and the application has been submitted, the Citizenship Commission will issue a final Approval. The Applicant can then attend a ceremony to take their Oath as a Vanuatu citizen. (Oath ceremony can occur abroad; conditions apply)

- Have no criminal record
- Provide all required documents in English
- Provide medical certificate confirming good health
