Canada Permanent Residency — Quebec Immigrant Investors Program (QIIP)
On September 10th 2018, the Quebec Government announced that it will be reopening the Quebec Immigrant Investors Program (QIIP) for a limited time of only 6 months. Investors in the Immigration Investors program and their immediate family will be able to gain permanent residency in Canada by satisfying specific criteria such as;
- Demonstrate business experience (at least for 2 years of management experience in the last 5 years.)
- Have legally obtained a net worth of minimum CAD 2 million (note: No need to invest this amount)
- Satisfy Canada’s medical and security tests
- Invest $380 235 CAD* with a financial intermediary (broker or trust company) authorized to participate in the Investor Program.
The Immigrant Investor program has been in operation since 1986 and there is no doubt that there will be a high number of applicants under the newly opened program.

The Government Authority will only be accepting a maximum of 1900 cases. Under the program applicants, their spouse and children under the age of 21 years will be able to obtain a Canadian permanent resident visa. The time frame from the date of filing your case is approximately 24–56 months.
